What Attracts Hogs the Best

A variety of baits may be utilized to successfully attract hogs, which are omnivores and eat both plants and animals.

Corn is a favorite ingredient in hog baits because hogs can quickly distinguish the scent. When soaked in water for several days, corn begins to “sour,” giving it a characteristic aroma that attracts hogs while keeping other animals, such as deer, at bay.
